Procedures for How to Make Rasam
Making rasam is indeed a simple and easiest thing to do. You need to first make the rasam powder which is the soul of rasam. Take some pepper, cumin seeds, asafoetida, coriander powder, garlic, salt and fenugreeks. Put that in mixer and get that crushed. Now you need to take a pan heat some oil and put mustard seeds in to. Add dried red chillies to this. Now its the time to add our rasam mixture to the oil. Along with that add some curry leaves too. Now pour some water to it. Then cut the tomatoes and add them. Let the tomatoes get cooked and boil well.
During this time lets us take tamarind of about a gooseberry’s size and add water to that. Smash the tamarind well with your hand in water. Now when boils add the water in which you have smashed tamarind to rasam. Let it boil and then add coriander leaves. Your spicy rasam is now ready to be served.
